چکیده

In vitro activity is important when considering the choice of a multiphasic bioceramic scaffold as phases can dissolve or transform at different rates. The aim this study focused on synthesis and in analysis ceramics obtained from melt by directional solidification. Depending growth rate new composition bioactive coexist same sample: akermanite, monticellite, tricalcium phosphate Nurse's A phase, all them with potential medical area implant for bone dental repair. With knowledge what how first, it was possible to design materials get porous scaffolds more stable ceramics.

Directional Solidification Microstructure of a Ni-Based Superalloy: Influence of a Weak Transverse Magnetic Field

A Ni-based superalloy CMSX-6 was directionally solidified at various drawing speeds (5–20 μm·s−1) and diameters (4 mm, 12 mm) under a 0.5 T weak transverse magnetic field. The results show that the application of a weak transverse magnetic field significantly modified the solidification microstructure. It was found that if the drawing speed was lower than 10 μm·s−1, the magnetic field caused ex...

Solidification microstructure development

In the present article, evolution of microstructure during solidification, as a function of various parameters, is discussed. Macrosegregation is described as being due to insufficient diffusivity of solute in the solid. Pattern formation is discussed in the light of instabilities at the solidification growth front. An overview of the scaling relations for various microstructures is given. Meta...
